The Matsya Purana mentions that among the hoods of Sheshnag, there is a hood named 'Kumuda' situated at the center. Above it lies the region, covering an area of eighty-four kosas, known as Shri Brajmandal. This sacred land is dedicated to the pastimes of Shri Krishna. Circumambulating it grants wealth, happiness, and prosperity. Offering charity, performing worship, and residing in Brajmandal lead to attaining Vishnu-loka. Living here and departing this life ensures freedom from rebirth. The merit earned in this region yields infinite rewards. Shri Krishna himself established twenty-five thousand holy sites here.
