Meaning:

1. O Divine Goddess, Even the minds of the wise, are drawn by your supreme power, the great illusion (Mahāmāyā). You, O Durga, drag them into confusion, leading to delusion.
2. Remembered by the fearful, you remove fear; remembered by the calm, you grant auspicious wisdom and blessings. No one else, O Goddess, is as tender-hearted in supporting and helping others.
3. You are the most auspicious of all auspiciousness, embodying peace and fulfilling all goals. O Gauri, O Siva's wife, Narayani, I bow to you.
4. You rescue the distressed and shelter those who seek refuge in you. You, Narayani, remove all suffering from devotees. I bow to you.
5. As the embodiment of all forms, O Goddess of all gods, full of power, protect us from fear. O Durga, I bow to you.
6. When pleased, you destroy all diseases; when angry, you bring unwanted desires to fruition. Those who take refuge in you are never in danger.
7. O Supreme Goddess of all three worlds, bring peace by removing all obstacles and troubles. And, as a favor to your devotees, remove the foes who oppose us.
