Meaning:
Verse 1:
I bow to Shiva, who is Lord of the universe, who rescues from the ocean of hell, whose words are like nectar for the ears, who wears the moon on his head, who is as white as camphor and the kunda flower, who has a jataa, and who burns away the sorrows of poverty.
Verse 2:
I bow to Shiva, who is dear to Gauri (Parvati), who holds the crescent moon, who defeated death, who wears snake as an ornament, who holds the Ganga in his hair, who crushed the mighty elephant demon, and who burns away the sorrows of poverty.
Verse 3:
I bow to Shiva, who loves devotion, who removes the fear of the disease of worldly existence, who is fierce, who helps cross the difficult ocean of life, who is radiant with light, who destroys the cycle of rebirth, and who burns away the sorrows of poverty.
Verse 4:
I bow to Shiva, who wears animal skin, who smears ashes on his body, who has a third eye on his forehead, who is adorned with jeweled earrings, who wears anklets on his feet, who has a jataa in his head, and who burns away the sorrows of poverty.
Verse 5:
I bow to Shiva, who has five faces, who is adorned with the king of serpents, who is draped in a golden garment, who adorns the three worlds, who grants bliss and removes darkness, and who burns away the sorrows of poverty.
Verse 6:
I bow to Shiva, who is beloved by the Sun, who helps cross the ocean of misfortune, who defeated death, who is worshipped by Brahma, who has three eyes, who is marked with auspicious signs, and who burns away the sorrows of poverty.
Verse 7:
I bow to Shiva, who is dear to Rama, who grants boons to Lord Rama, who loves serpents, who lives on Mount Kailash, who is pure, whose actions are virtuous, who is worshipped by the gods, and who burns away the sorrows of poverty.
Verse 8:
I bow to Shiva, who is the lord of liberation, who grants rewards, who is the lord of Ganesha, who loves music, who rides the bull, who wears the skin of an elephant, who is the great lord, and who burns away the sorrows of poverty.
Verse 9:
I bow to Shiva, who resides in the blissful abode of Gauri, who has a large belly (symbolizing his generosity), who has five faces, who protects those who surrender to him, who is the destroyer, and who is the lord of all worlds, and who burns away the sorrows of poverty.
