Shastra instructs to avoid even those with physical deformities particularly in Shraddha.

Offerings should be made with pure intentions. Impure gifts or improper motives lead to no merit. Offer sincerely to get true blessings.
Don't think you are doing charity by performing Shraddha; you are honoring your ancestors.

Whatever is offered with improper motives is taken away by Rakshasas.
They won't go to your ancestors.

Proper conduct during the Shraddha brings rewards. Respect Brahmanas, observe rules meant for the day, and give with purity.

Respect and purity are most important in Shraddha.
