The Surya Vamsha (Solar Dynasty) and Chandra Vamsha (Lunar Dynasty) are named after their divine progenitors, Surya (the Sun God) and Chandra (the Moon God), respectively. The Surya Vamsha traces its lineage to Ikshvaku and includes notable kings like Rama, symbolizing radiance and sovereignty. The Chandra Vamsha traces its lineage to Pururavas, son of Chandra, and includes figures like Krishna, symbolizing tranquility and the cyclical nature of time. These associations highlight the divine origins and cultural significance of these dynasties in ancient Indian traditions.
