uduttamam varunapaashamasmadavaadhamam vi madhyamam' shrathaaya.
athaa vayamaaditya vrate tavaanaagaso aditaye syaama..

Meaning:

O Varuna, release us from the uppermost, middle, and lowest bonds (nooses) that hold us. Then, O Sun (Aditya), we shall be free from sin and dwell in your righteous path, like the children of Aditi.

рдЙрджреБрддреНрддрдордВ (uduttamaс╣Б) - from the uppermost, рд╡рд░реБрдгрдкрд╛рд╢рдореН (varuс╣Зap─Б┼Ыam) - the noose of Varuna, рдЕрд╕реНрдорджрд╡рд╛рдзрдордВ (asmad av─Бdhamam) - our bonds, рд╡рд┐ (vi) - release, рдордзреНрдпрдордБ (madhyamaс╣Б) - from the middle, рд╢реНрд░рдерд╛рдп (┼Ыrath─Бya) - release usред рдЕрдерд╛ (ath─Б) - then, рд╡рдпрдореН (vayam) - we, рдЖрджрд┐рддреНрдп (─Бditya) - O Sun (Aditya), рд╡реНрд░рддреЗ (vrate) - in your vow, рддрд╡ (tava) - your, рдЕрдирд╛рдЧрд╕реЛ (an─Бgasaс╕е) - sinless, рдЕрджрд┐рддрдпреЗ (aditaye) - like the children of Aditi, рд╕реНрдпрд╛рдо (sy─Бma) - we shall beред

These bonds are metaphorical and can be understood in different layers:

  1. Uppermost Bonds: These can represent the mental and intellectual constraints, such as ignorance, arrogance, and false pride. These are the highest level of afflictions that affect the mind and intellect, causing one to stray from the path of wisdom and truth.

  2. Middle Bonds: These are the emotional and psychological constraints, such as desires, attachments, anger, and envy. These bonds affect the heart and emotions, leading to disturbances and distractions that prevent one from maintaining inner peace and emotional balance.

  3. Lowest Bonds: These are the physical and material constraints, such as illness, poverty, and other worldly challenges. These bonds affect the body and physical existence, creating obstacles that hinder one's ability to live a healthy and prosperous life.

Releasing from these bonds implies achieving freedom from these afflictions on all levels—intellectual, emotional, and physical—enabling a person to lead a life of purity, righteousness, and spiritual fulfillment.

This Mantra  is a prayer to Varuna, the deity of water, requesting liberation from all forms of bondage—uppermost, middle, and lowest. It seeks to establish a life free from sin under the righteous path of Aditya, the Sun deity. By invoking these divine entities, the devotee aims to live a life of purity and righteousness.

Benefits of Listening:

Listening to this Mantra helps in seeking divine intervention for liberation from various forms of bondage and sins. It aligns the devotee with the righteous path, ensuring a life of purity and adherence to divine principles. It also invokes the blessings of Varuna and Aditya, promoting spiritual growth and moral integrity.
