Once upon a time, in Bilaspur, there was a king who spent his youth enjoying the comforts and pleasures.

When he approached middle age and when the first grey hairs appeared, he became worried.

He didn’t want to get old.

He announced that whoever can restore his youth and prevent old age, will be suitably rewarded.

A doctor approached him.

I can make you a young man again and I can also stop you from getting old.

The doctor said: you have to undergo treatment for this.

For that, the king will have to spend six months inside a dark chamber.

During this time, the required medication and treatment will be administered to him.
No one except the doctor will be allowed to enter the chamber.

So one day, after handing over administration to his ministers and commanders, the king along with the doctor entered the dark chamber.

Treatment started.

Only the doctor would come out every day to collect medicines and food.

He had promised that in six months, he would make the king a completely different; youthful and energetic person.

But the doctor turned out to be a quack.

The treatment failed and the king died in the chamber.

See, even though he was a king, he blindly trusted the doctor.

He didn’t bother to check the doctor’s credentials.

He didn’t bother to check whether he was a qualified or knowledgeable person.

This is what happens when you become over excited and jump into things.

You should always give due thought before you take any major step in your life.

The quack doctor panicked when the king died.

He started thinking what to do.

Anyway, people are expecting that the king after six months would come out as a changed person with a new look.

So he decided to replace the king.

He buried the king in the chamber itself and went out and started looking for a suitable replacement for the king.

He found a well built young man with some small resemblance to the king.

He asked the young man: what do you do for a living?

Nothing much, I don’t have any work.

Then come with me, I will give you work.

He took the young man inside the chamber and told him everything.

The young man was convinced.

He could not believe that he was going to be the king.

Then the quack doctor told the young man: but you should always obey me.

If you ever disobey me, I have the power to destroy you.

If I can make you a king in one day, I can also destroy you in one day.

The doctor went and told those in the court that his treatment was working and now they can start visiting the king inside the dark chamber.

They should go inside one by one and since it was dark inside, they should introduce themselves and then report whatever was happening in the country.

So the ministers and the commanders started doing so.

Over the months, the young man started recognizing the voices and also learned about the kingdom, and its people and how a country is ruled.

At the end of six months, when he came out from the chamber, everyone was surprised to see their king as a completely rejuvenated young man.

He started ruling the country.

But the doctor was a completely vicious man.

He was controlling the new king.

The doctor became the most important person and everyone including the king feared him.

But the young man in his heart was a good person.

After some time, he understood the consequences of the bad intentions of the doctor.

One day he told the doctor: it is true that you have only made me the king.

But there is a limit to everything.

You are taking the country towards peril.

The doctor became angry and started abusing the king.

The king took out his sword and finished him then and there.

Even though he became the king by chance and as part of the evil plan of the doctor, when he realized that the safety and progress of the country depended on him, he acted like how a real king should.

He ended the ambitions of the wicked doctor.

Anyone can come under such pressure.

But you should never fear.

What is more important is whether you are delivering your duty correctly.

Here, the king acted responsibly and delivered his duty towards the people of his country.

This is what is important.

Such evil people can come into anybody’s life.

You should not trust everybody blindly.

Many people would say that they are experts, they can help you.

But their intentions may not be always good.

You should not get into the trap of such people.

But even when situations come in life if you follow what is right and act fearlessly, they can be easily tackled.

Always remember that living life honestly, fearlessly, helping others; this is what will give you satisfaction and happiness.
